Silk Scarf Design Service
No design? No problem. Our studio works with you from a rough idea, a logo or a reference image to a finished, print-ready silk scarf design.

From Idea to Artwork
You don't need a finished design. Send an idea, a colour palette or even a reference image — our studio develops a graphic concept adapted to the scarf format, coherent in colour and consistent with your brand.
What we do
- Develop the visual concept with you
- Prepare print-ready artwork for your chosen format
- Advise on colour, repeats, borders and layout
- Provide a physical sample for approval before bulk
The work is not finished when the artwork looks good on screen. A scarf design has to survive being folded, knotted and worn — which is why we check border balance, centre placement and how the pattern reads at arm's length before anything is printed.
What You Send Us
The design stage moves faster when these are on the table from the start. None of them are mandatory — but each one removes a round of revisions.
Your starting point
A sketch, a logo, a photograph, a pattern swatch or simply a description of the mood you are after.
Colour direction
Pantone numbers, brand guidelines or swatches. If you have none, tell us what the piece should sit next to.
Format and size
Square, neck, bandana or pocket square. We adapt the artwork to the format rather than the other way round.
Fabric preference
Silk twill, charmeuse or habotai — each takes print differently, and each drapes differently.
How the Design Stage Runs
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 · Brief | You send whatever you have — idea, logo, reference, brand guide, target format. |
| 2 · Concept | We develop the concept and send a digital artwork proof for comment. |
| 3 · Layout | Repeats, borders, centre placement and hem allowance are set for your chosen size. |
| 4 · Proof approval | You approve the artwork. Nothing is printed until you do. |
| 5 · Sample | A physical scarf is printed and finished on your chosen fabric for final approval. |
| 6 · Bulk | Production matched to the approved sample, about 3 weeks after approval. |
Artwork development is part of the project rather than a separate charge — ask us what is included for your brief before you commit to anything.
Scarf Layout, Repeats and Hem Allowance
A design built for paper rarely works unchanged on a 90×90cm square. The three things that most often need reworking are scale, edge treatment and where the centre falls.
Scale
A motif that looks right on a screen can be far too large once the scarf is at full size. We show the real proportions.
Edges and borders
Hand-rolled hems take up a margin. Borders and corner details are positioned so the hem does not cut into them.
Centre and fold lines
A scarf is folded before it is seen. We place the focal point so it survives being folded and knotted.
Repeats
For repeating patterns, the tile is built so the seam is invisible and the repeat reads evenly across the full surface.
