Brand Moments, Made Memorable

Promotional Scarves

For expos, product launches and marketing campaigns, a silk scarf is a promotional item people actually keep. We produce silk twill scarves in volume with your branding, from concept to delivery — a premium alternative to throwaway merchandise.

What a promotional silk scarf is

A promotional silk scarf is a printed accessory produced in quantity and given, sold or bundled as part of a brand campaign. Unlike a tote bag or a plastic bottle, it is worn rather than used up — which is why it stays in circulation long after the campaign has closed.

We produce them in 100% mulberry silk, most often in 14–19mm twill. Twill gives the cloth the body to hold a knot and the depth to carry a full-bleed print without the design going flat. Where a lighter scarf suits the budget and the season, 8mm habotai prints just as crisply at a fraction of the weight.

Every scarf is finished with a hand-rolled, hand-stitched hem. It is a slow finish, done by hand, and it is the difference between a scarf that reads as merchandise and one that reads as a gift.

Why the cloth decides whether the scarf gets kept

A promotional item has one job: to be kept. Whether it is kept depends far less on the logo than on the cloth it is printed on. A synthetic scarf is worn once and put in a drawer. Silk is worn, washed, folded and worn again — and the logo goes along with it, on the neck, in front of other people, for years.

That is the whole argument for a promotional programme built on silk. The unit cost is higher than a printed synthetic, and the return is measured in how long the item stays in use rather than how many were handed out.

Two decisions carry most of that outcome: the weave and the format. Both are set before printing begins, and both are yours to fix.

What you can specify

Five decisions set the scarf, and each one is a line on the quotation. Fixing them before you compare quotes is what makes two quotes comparable.

SpecificationOptionsWhat it changes
WeaveSilk twill 14–19mm · silk charmeuse 16–22mm · silk habotai 5–12mmTwill holds a knot and takes print with depth. Habotai is lighter and more economical per piece. Charmeuse is glossy on the face and matte on the back.
Format90×90cm · 53×53cm · 36×36cm · neck scarf · bandana · pocket squareCost follows the area of cloth, not the number of pieces. A 90cm square uses roughly seven times the silk of a 36cm square.
PrintingDigital printing · screen printingDigital carries no screen setup, so it suits short runs and artwork with many colours. Screen printing adds a setup cost per colour and then prints cheaper per piece at volume.
ColoursEvery distinct colour in the artworkIn screen printing each colour is a separate screen and a separate pass. Digital does not charge by colour, but more colours mean more artwork preparation either way.
Edge finishHand rolled and hand stitched · machine hemThe hand-rolled edge is slower and is what marks the scarf out as silk rather than as merchandise. A machine hem is faster and sits flatter.
PackingIndividual bag · branded box · carton markPacking is quoted as its own line so that it does not disappear inside the unit price.

Promotional programmes we produce

The brief changes from one programme to the next, but the production is the same. What differs is what the scarf has to do on the day it is handed over.

Trade shows and expos

A scarf given at a stand has to survive being carried around a hall and then be worth taking home. Compact formats — 53×53cm, neck scarves and pocket squares — pack flat, travel well and are easy to hand over.

Where a stand has a fixed visual identity, the scarf usually carries the same mark as the backdrop, so the two read as one object rather than two.

Product launches and campaign drops

Launch scarves carry a full-bleed design rather than a logo in a corner. Digital printing reproduces a campaign image edge to edge, which is why most launch briefs come in as artwork rather than as a mark.

Because the artwork is the point, these orders usually go through a digital proof and a physical sample before bulk, so the printed colour can be judged on the actual cloth.

Employee and internal gifting

Internal programmes usually want one scarf that works for everyone and a format that suits being worn to work. A 90×90cm square in twill is the common answer; a neck scarf is the common answer where the climate is warmer.

These orders tend to repeat, which makes the approved sample worth keeping on file. A repeat order produced to an approved sample does not need the artwork stage run again.

Client and partner gifting

Gifts sent to clients and partners are judged on presentation as much as on the cloth. These orders are usually boxed, with the scarf folded to show the printed centre rather than folded flat.

If the gift carries a note or a card, tell us at quotation stage — it changes how the scarf is folded and how the box is sized.

Minimum order, artwork and lead times

Minimum order is 100 pieces per design. A programme needing several different designs is quoted as several designs, because each one is printed and finished separately.

Artwork is part of the project rather than a separate charge. You send whatever you have — a logo file, a reference, a brand guide, a rough idea — and we develop the concept, set the repeat and the layout for your chosen format, and send a digital proof. Nothing is printed until you approve it.

A physical sample is then printed and finished on your chosen fabric for final approval, and bulk production follows the approved sample. Bulk runs about 3 weeks after approval.

  • What to send us: a logo or artwork file, your brand colours, the format you have in mind, and the quantity.
  • What we send back: a digital proof for comment, then a physical sample on your chosen fabric.
  • What we need before bulk: approval of the artwork, approval of the sample, and the packing method.
  • What travels with the order: photographs of the finished scarves before they ship.

Buyer questions

What is the minimum order for promotional silk scarves?

100 pieces per design. Each design is printed and finished separately, so a programme with three designs is quoted as three minimums.

Can you print a logo onto silk?

Yes — that is the most common brief. We print by digital printing, which carries no screen setup and handles logos and full-colour artwork alike. Screen printing is also available where the artwork is simple and the quantity is high.

How long does a promotional scarf order take?

Bulk production runs about 3 weeks after the sample is approved. Artwork development and sampling sit ahead of that, and both depend on how quickly the artwork is signed off.

What file do you need for the artwork?

Send whatever you have — a logo file, a photograph of a reference, a brand guide. The layout work, the repeat and the hem allowance are handled here, and nothing is printed until you approve the digital proof.

Can the scarves be supplied in branded packaging?

Yes. Individually bagged, boxed, or packed with your carton mark. Packing is quoted as its own line, so you can see what it costs and drop it if you do not need it.
